Summer Detention

If you have U's that need to be worked off you may want to consider taking advantage of summer detention.  Summer detention will be held Monday through Thursday, June 13th to June 30th 8 a.m. to  11 a.m. in room 117.  The cost for summer detention is $5 for a half session and $10 for a full session.  You can work off 1 U per half session.  

If you plan on participating in fall sports you must have your fourth quarter U's worked off before you can participate.  Summer detention is your opportunity to take care of this before the season begins.

Returning Student Registration 2016-2017

(This registration is for students who attended Murray High, Hillcrest Jr., or Riverview Jr. last year.)

  1. On-line registration opens July 15th. Registration information can be accessed beginning July 15th by going to  www.murrayschools.org/parents/registration-materials/   or click HERE.   All instructions for completing the on-line registration will be on the school district website.
  2. If you complete your registration and pay fees on-line and would like to avoid the long lines on registration day, you can pick up your class schedule early at the Murray High School main office from August 2nd –August 5th between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. In order to pick up your schedule, you must bring with you your on-line registration summary sheet and your payment receipt.
  3. If you are unable to pay on-line and pick up your schedule early, you will need to come to the school to complete the registration process on Thursday, August 11th.

Seniors: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Juniors: 10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Sophomores: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

On registration day you will pay fees and get your class schedule. There may be long wait times so please plan accordingly and have everything ready.

New Student Registration 2016-2017

Students who are new to Murray School District for the 2016-2017 school year need to register in person on Thursday, August 9th. Registration hours are 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Prior to coming to registration, please fill out the required new student information on-line. This will be available beginning July 15th.

New students will need to bring the following information to register:

  1. Proof of residency or approved non-resident permit letter. Click HERE for the proof of residency requirement form.
  2. Record of current immunizations (see the online registration materials for immunization requirements).
  3. Birth certificate.
  4. Transcript of grades from 9th grade through the last grade completed.
  5. On-line registration summary sheet.

On registration day you will pay fees, get your locker assignment and make an appointment with a school counselor to create your class schedule. There may be long wait times so please plan accordingly and have everything ready.

Make-Up Registration Day

Make-up registration for those unable to attend the previously scheduled registration days will be held on August 19th.

  • New students: 7:30 a.m. -10:00 a.m.
  • Returning students: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
